Quiet BPD — what it means

A presentation of BPD where the dysregulation turns inward — internalized splitting, hidden self-harm, secret rumination, intense people-pleasing — rather than the outward rage and chaos of the stereotype. Coworkers love them. The partner sees the collapse.

What it looks like

At work she's competent, calm, generous. At home, after the door closes, she dissociates on the couch for two hours, comes out, and tells you flatly that she's a worthless person and you should leave. Outsiders would never believe it.
