Fearful-avoidant attachment — what it means

An adult attachment style (sometimes called disorganized) marked by wanting closeness AND fearing it — the push-pull that produces sudden warmth followed by sudden withdrawal.

What it looks like

Monday: "I've never felt this safe with anyone." Tuesday: "I need to stop talking for a while, I'm overwhelmed." Wednesday: "Why have you been distant?" The fluctuation isn't manipulation — it's the system trying to hold opposite needs at once.
