Narcissistic rage is the disproportionate anger — explosive or icy — that erupts when a narcissistic person's self-image is threatened: a criticism, a 'no,' being outshone, or simply not being treated as special. The trigger is often tiny; the reaction isn't. It's the ego's alarm system, and you are not its cause.
Hot rage is the screaming, throwing, threatening version. Cold rage is the week of silent contempt, the surgical character assassination, the campaign to make you pay quietly. Both punish the same crime: an injury to the image.
